Artist in Residence Grants:
Our long time Artist in Residence, Bill Schustik, has received an extension of his Residency through summer 2011. The grant provided by ATP has funded several school programs in the Sarasota, FL area. In addition, Bill will be performing throughout the day during the Pennridge, PA School Districts annual Civil War Day: A Living History Experience. Bill has been asked back to Pennridge for the third year in a row. He will be bringing the songs and stories of the Civil War to the Pennridge districts entire fifth grade class.
This summer, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the start of The American Civil War, Bill will be performing for the Martha's Vineyard Museum, Martha's Vineyard, MA and also on Nantucket Island, MA for the Nantucket Historical Association. Both concerts are part of museum exhibits on the islander experience of the war.
