Troubadour in the Classroom

Our core project, Troubadour in the Classroom, brings American History alive through story and song.  Our artists come directly to the students, performing in the classroom; often accompanied by period costumes and props.  Period music, costume and songs are used to illustrate various chapters of American History.

Available units include:
        The American Revolultion
        The Civil War
From Slavery to Freedom: The  African American Experience
Tall Ships: The Age of Sail
        Pirates

The American Troubadour Project provides a limited number of grants each year to bring the Troubadour in the Classroom program to schools.  For an application, please contact Rebecca Lauer at rlauer@americantroubadour.org   Applications are accepted throughout the academic year.  Response time for a completed application is typically 4-6 weeks.
